You Really Can and Will Make a Difference
Winter is coming!
Our volunteer programme is taking a break over the winter period and registrations will open again in Spring.
For now: Check out our Volunteers Year Calendar to see the types of opportunities we have during the year.
Conservation volunteers are vital to our operations and we gratefully accept any support someone is willing to provide. Work includes tasks such as bird counts, habitat restoration, weed control, pest control, trap & track maintenance, education and office support and assisting with our public walks and events!
Most projects are single day activities, and offer you opportunities to meet others, learn new skills, do useful conservation work and enjoy the outdoors. For long term projects we still welcome those that may be able to attend for only one or two days.
What you do depends partly on your skills, interests and fitness level and our needs at the time. Unless otherwise specified, volunteers are required to provide their own transport, lunch and personal equipment.
Being a volunteer is fun and we want you to enjoy your experience with us! If you are interested in volunteering check back again from September for our registration form.
Please note: At the discretion of Experience Pūrangi volunteers may be required to undergo a background and police check.
