Kokako second release full of song

The sun shone down on us for our second release of six kokako into Pouiatoa on Saturday. All attendees stood amazed when the birds starting talking to each other and then one sung to us! In return a waiata was sung and it was reported that the birds looked down at the crowd with keen

Kokako “ambassadors” have arrived

Kokako are coming soon!

We are very excited to announce that kokako are arriving soon! The kokako experts are hard at work with the catching process on Hauturu (Little Barrier Island); the very first kokako to be relocated from the Island! Keep an eye out for our updates which will include this awesome new logo designed by our kokako
